The joy of a parcel

I remember when I had four bouncy boys at a time when three of them were five or under.  I was carless and although thankfully I lived in walking distance from Newquay there were days when I had aching legs from all the walking that I did!  I like to be out rather than in and find it easier to do so with my boys, keeping them entertained with what the outdoors had to offer regardless of the season.  But sometimes to think of walking somewhere else on top of just being with my boys was too much!  I would probably pass it down.  

If I could have got clothes delivered to my door I would have done so!  One less thing to do, more time for just being, less achy legs, more time sitting on the beach or exploring the rockpools.

Over the past few years we have recognised the need to have the option to post clothes parcels.  Since we began offering clothes being posted it has become a big part of what we do at The Clothes Horse.

It is a nice simple way to get parcels out to people and is also rather an eco way as no travelling is needed to get to us.  We do the work and clothes get delivered to your door.

We like to send our clothes in recycled parcel paper and with paper tape as at The Clothes Horse we try and be as environmentally friendly as we possibly can.  We do not use plastic at all in our parcels.

It is super easy to use this service.  Just send us a message stating the clothes that you need ie boys 3 - 4 years or if just after a certain item let us know ie coat for a 3-4 years boy and add your address.

We then look for what you require through our good quality, clean clothes and make up a clothes parcel for you.  We try and get this out to you as soon as possible but sometimes we have quite a few parcels to get through so we ask that you give us a one to two week window for your parcel to arrive.

At the moment we are so grateful to our Cornish funder ‘Bolingey Barbarians’ whom support Cornish children’s charities and have given us some funding so that we can send parcels to families for no cost.  However if you would like to use this service or like this service and would like to support us and pay towards a parcel or some of the cost we would be very thank full.  The cost of each parcel is £4.50 that we send out.

We get lots of thanks from people who have used our service and have people returning to use this service as their children grow which is lovely.

If you would rather us sort a clothes parcel for you but live locally and just want to collect.  That is also fine.  Just send us a message to say so and when we have got your clothes ready we can let you know.
