Around Cornwall

I love living in Cornwall. I was born and breed in Cornwall and I feel passionate about this county. It is beautiful, wild, old and special. My family and I spend a lot of time outdoors. Raising four boys I think it is important that they spend as much time as possible outside. The benefits of being in the outdoors are so high and I want my boys to realise the importance of the outdoors.

This summer we are going to go camping a few times in Cornwall as well as go on day trips around our county. A while ago we put a post out about adventures in Cornwall and where people liked to go and it was great. I found some new places that I haven’t been to that I am adding to our bucket list this year.

I thought it would be good to write some of the places down here that are great to visit, some of these places I have been to and some I have not. If I have not included somewhere that you like to visit then please get in touch.

Part of the passion behind The Clothes Horse is to have clothes available for families so that they can go on adventures. A while ago I was speaking to an outdoor educator based in Cornwall and we talked about the need for preloved outdoor clothes to be made available so that families can enjoy the outdoors whilst still being environmentally conscious.

The Clothes Horse is passionate about helping parents and carers get clothes for their families whilst helping the environment. It also means that families can get clothes so that they can go on adventures. They can go out knowing they are able to pick up clothes from us that are preloved in great condition so that they can go on adventures.

My son is did his silver Duke of Edinburgh award in July. We were able to kit him out in mostly new to him clothes which helped us to save money and meant that he was able to go on his three day expedition. The only thing we had to buy new was boots which was great. It was great knowing we could kit out our son in good quality preloved clothes meaning that he was still about to go on his expedition and I was relieved that I could do it without having to buy new clothes.

So here is our list of Cornish adventures, perhaps we will see you out there…
